Pattern Instructions ~
Cast on 86 stitches
Start with a garter stitch border -
knit 8 rows
Pattern:
Row 1: K6,
*yo,
k2tog, rep from * to last 6sts, k6
Row 2: K6, *yo, p2tog, rep from * to last 6sts, k6
Repeat last 2 rows once more
Rows 5 -10: S1,
knit to end
Repeat
these 10 pattern rows 11 times more (or until the blanket is the length
desired)
Knit 3 rows
Cast off
knit wise
Darn away ends

I made this blanket using DK yarn and
4.5mm needles - to give a more open stitch and a softer drape
There are fewer eyelet rows and more garter stitch rows

Start with a garter stitch border -
knit 10 rows
Pattern:
Row 1: K8,
*yo,
k2tog, rep from * to last 8sts, k8
Row 2: K8, *yo, p2tog, rep from * to last 8sts, k8
Rows 3 -12: S1,
knit to end
Repeat
these 12 pattern rows 16 times more (or until the blanket is the length
desired)

Cast off

Darn away ends
