Tiny Sleeping Bag ~ Georgie

I have been enjoying knitting tiny sleeping bags for dolls - 

and I thought they would be good for tiny premature babies too
(instead of angel pockets).

This one uses the stitch pattern from my Georgie Cardigan Jacket & Hat.
I know lots of you enjoyed knitting those :) 

Tiny Sleeping Bag ~ Georgie

Requires:
4mm needles
DK yarn – around 30g
6 small buttons 

Measurements:
Width – 5”
Length from top of hood -  9½”

Cast on 27sts
Knit 4 rows
Row 5:   (buttonhole row)  K2, yrn, k2tog, knit to last 4sts, k2tog, yrn, k2
Knit 5 rows
Row 11:  Knit
Row 12:  K4, * p1, k1, rep from * to last 3sts, k3
Repeat the last 2 rows 6 times more
Row 25:  (buttonhole row) K2, yrn, k2tog, knit to last 4sts, k2tog, yrn, k2
Row 26:  K4, * p1, k1, rep from * to last 3sts, k3
Row 27:  Knit
Row 28:  K4, * p1, k1, rep from * to last 3sts, k3
Repeat the last 2 rows 8 times more
Row 45:  (buttonhole row) K2, yrn, k2tog, knit to last 4sts, k2tog, yrn, k2

Join the hood seam
Sew on 6 small buttons to correspond with the buttonholes
