This week, several of my facebook group asked me for more patterns for baby items using 4ply yarn........
I replied to them with the advice that any of my patterns written for DK would also work well in 4ply (though of course the finished garment would be smaller).
So here is how it works out ......... if you follow a DK pattern for a 6 - 9 months baby, and use 4ply yarn and 3.25mm needles instead - the finished item will be perfect for a 0 -3 months baby.
I put it to the test just to be sure!!
This little baby jacket was knitted in 4ply on 3.25mm needles following the instructions for the 6 - 9 months size ~ and it is a perfect fit for a 0 - 3 months baby.
