2020 Review

 2020  ~  it has been such a difficult year for everyone!  

But I know that knitting and crochet has helped many of us through.

At the end of each year I like to look back at all that I have achieved.
Here are my 2020 projects.

Karina Baby Turban Hat



KARINA - Baby Turban Hats




KARINA Baby Turban Hat                   for a Medium Premature Baby  

 

Size:
Width:      4½",   9" all around

Height:     4¼"

 

Tension: 

22sts = 4" (10cm) 

 

Requires:

DK (8ply) yarn  ~  around 12g

4mm needles

 

Pattern:

Using DK yarn and 4mm needles cast on 46sts

 

1st Row:       S1, knit to end of row

Repeat this row 3 times more

5th Row:       S1, knit to end of row

6th Row:       S1, purl to last st, k1

Repeat the last 2 rows once more

 

9th Row:     S1, knit to end of row

Repeat this row 5 times more

15th Row:     S1, knit to end of row

16th Row:     S1, purl to last st, k1

Repeat the last 2 rows once more

 

19th Row:     S1, knit to end of row

Repeat this row 5 times more

 

25th Row:     S1, knit to end of row

26th Row:     S1, purl to last st, k1

Repeat the last 2 rows once more

With a yarn needle, pull the yarn through all the remaining loops and secure

Sew up the side seam

Gather up the front of the hat by threading a length of yarn on to a needle and sewing over the front and pulling it tighter – around six times. Fasten off securely

Darn away ends

4mm needles

Using DK yarn and 4mm needles cast on 56sts

Repeat the last 2 rows once more

 

9th Row:     S1, knit to end of row

Repeat this row 5 times more
