Freya Baby Cardigan Jacket

Freya Baby Cardigan Jacket

Knitted by Leslie Dick

This sweet little baby cardigan was knitted by Leslie Dick.

She combined two of my existing patterns, and wrote these instructions.

I love what she created - and I am sure you will too.

Freya Baby Cardigan Jacket                      3 - 6 months baby

Requirements:

80 - 85g DK yarn

4mm needles

3 small buttons

Measurements:

Width:                               20”  (51cm)

Length:                             10½“  (26.5cm)

Sleeve length:                    5½” (14cm)

JACKET

The sleeve should now measure about

Next Row:  Cast off 3sts, knit to last 3sts, cast off 3sts                     (24sts)

·                  TOP TIP   ~    To cast off 3sts at the end of a row ~

You work across the row until you have 3sts on your left hand needle. Knit the first stitch, knit the second stitch, and pass the first over the second. Knit the last stitch and pass the second stitch over it. You will now have a loop - cut the yarn and pull it through the loop. Easy !

Leave these 24 stitches on a spare needle, or stitch holder

Jubilee Celebration Flower Decorations

Jubilee Flower Decorations

I have been making these cute Red, White and Blue Flower Decorations to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee

So cute

Jubilee Celebration Flower Decorations

This pattern uses UK terminology ~

tc = treble crochet                      htc = half treble crochet

dc = double crochet                    ch = chain

You need a 4mm hook and small amounts of Red, White & Blue DK yarn –

I made a variety of these flower decorations by simply changing the order I used each colour.

Using DK yarn and a 4mm hook

First colour ~

Chain 4, join with a slip stitch into a ring

Round 1: ch2, make 13htc into ring, slip stitch to join                                   (14sts)

Second colour ~

Round 2:  ch2, make 1htc in each stich all around, slip stitch to join                 (14sts)

Third colour ~

Round 3: ch2, 4tc into same stitch, 1slip stitch into next stitch, *5tc into next stitch, 1slip stitch into next stitch, continue around, slip stitch to join      (there should be 7 petals)

Jubilee Celebration Flower Decorations

You can -  of course -  make these with other colours too!
