Another lovely to knit baby blanket ...........

Melika means beauty in Turkish.
 
 
Melika Baby Blanket 
Size:
Width:             ~          18 “
Length:            ~          20”

Tension:
21sts = 4” (10cm)
Requirements:
Around 95g of DK yarn
4mm needles  
Pattern:
Cast on 93sts
1st Row:          S1, knit to end
Repeat the 1st Row 7 times more
 
9th Row:           S1, knit to end
 
10th Row:         S1, k4, purl to last 5sts, k5
11th Row:         S1, k4, *yon, s1, k2tog, psso, yon, k1, rep from * to last 4sts, k4
12th Row:         S1, k4, purl to last 5sts, k5
 
Repeat the last 4 rows until the blanket is the length required (around 18”), ending after completing a 12th row
Next Row:       S1, knit to end
Repeat the last row 8 times more
Cast off
Darn away ends

If you would like to make this baby blanket smaller or bigger ~
then reduce or add in multiples of four stitches

      Here is her Abbreviations page. :) I didn't understand the term either. It appears that she has different terms for which way she does her yarn over, for different effects, I'm guessing.
