Bibi Baby Blanket

This is a lovely stitch pattern to knit
 - it looks pretty -
and after a couple of pattern repeats it is easy to remember.

Size:
Width:             ~          18 “
Length:            ~          19”

Tension:
22sts = 4” (10cm)
Requirements:
Around 90g of DK yarn
4mm needles  
Pattern:
 
Cast on 94sts
1st Row:          S1, knit to end
Repeat the last row 8 times more
10th Row          S1, k4, purl to last 5sts, k5
11th Row:         S1, k4, * k1, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, s1, k1, psso, k1, repeat from * to last 5sts, k5
12th Row:         S1, k4, purl to last 5sts, k5
13th Row:         S1, k4, *k2tog, yo, k3, yo, s1, k1, psso, repeat from * to last 5sts, k5
14th Row:         S1, k4, purl to last 5sts, k5
15th Row:         S1, knit to end of row
16th Row:         S1, k4, purl to last 5sts, k5
Repeat 11th – 16th rows until the blanket is the length required (around 18”), ending after completing a 14th row
Next Row:       S1, knit to end
Repeat the last row 8 times more
Cast off
Darn away ends
 
If you would like to make this baby blanket smaller or bigger ~
then reduce or add in multiples of seven stitches
