instructions for a premature baby size of my Bella Baby Jacket.
I think it looks really cute.

Length: 7"
Sleeve Length: 4"
Requirements ~
DK yarn (around 38g)
4mm needles
3 small buttons
Begin with the Sleeves (work 2)
Cast on 23sts
Work 4 rows in garter stitch
(knit every row)
Work 24 rows in stocking stitch
The sleeve should now measure about 4” – you can add more rows if
required
Next Row: Cast off 2sts, work to
last 2sts, cast off 2sts (19sts)
Leave these 19 stitches on a spare needle
Work the Main Part
Cast on 82sts
Work 4 rows in garter stitch
Work in pattern as follows ~
1st Row: Knit to end
2nd Row: K4, purl to
last 4sts, k4
3rd Row: K4, *k4,
yfwd, sl1, k2tog, psso, yfwd; rep from * to last 8sts, k8
4th Row: K4, purl to
last 4sts, k4
Repeat these 4 rows 5 times more
Then work the 1st & 2nd rows once
Keeping the first & last 4sts of every row as knit stitches
throughout, continue as follows ~
Next Row: Knit 19sts, cast off 4sts, k35sts, cast off 4sts, k18
Next Row: Knit 19sts from the
right front, 19sts from the first sleeve, 36sts from the back, 19sts from the
second sleeve and 19sts from left front
(112 stitches)
Work the Yoke
Knit 2 rows
3rd Row: K2, yfwd, k2tog (for
buttonhole), k1, *(k2, k2tog), repeat from * to last 7sts, k7 (87sts)
Knit 3 rows
7th Row: K6, *(k2tog, k6), repeat
from * to last st, k1 (77sts)
Knit 3 rows
11th Row: K6,
*(k2tog, k5), repeat from * to last st, k1
(67sts)
Knit 1 row
13th Row: K2, yfwd,
k2tog (for buttonhole), knit to end
Knit 1 row
15th Row: K4, *(k2tog,
k6), repeat from * to last 7sts, k2tog, k5
(59sts)
Knit 3 rows
19th Row: K4, *(k2tog,
k5), repeat from * to last 6sts, k2tog, k4
(51sts)
Knit 3 rows
23rd Row: K2, yfwd, k2tog (for buttonhole), k4, *(k2tog,
k6), repeat from * to last 3sts, k3 (46sts)
Knit 2 rows
Cast off loosely
To Finish
Join sleeve and underarm seams Darn
away ends Sew on buttons
