I think the lacy border is really pretty - and adds a touch of style to an otherwise straightforward pattern design.

ReplyDeletereally gives it a delicate look. Thanks for sharing the pattern. Can't wait
for an opportunity to have a go at it.
Cheers, Anita.
Wow! This pattern is jumping straight on to my to-do list. The border makes all the difference.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I'm going to try it with worsted weight and larger needles, my granddaughter is 3 months old and this would be perfect for her!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for posting it!
Always love your designs for little ones! Going to make this for my newest grandchild.
ReplyDeleteQuestion: the row before the yoke starts- am I pearling the cast off stitches too? The number of stitches doesn't match the previous row and it's confusing...help?
ReplyDeleteFigured it out...love the pattern, sweater turned out lovely- thanks for sharing!
DeleteCan you help the rest of us?
DeleteMichelle what did you figure out? Im stuck at the 2 rows before yoke. I have 85 stitches but can only seem to account for 83 in the pattern.
ReplyDeleteThat's beautiful - as usual a winner! I can't wait to make it, thank you!
ReplyDeleteThat's beautiful - as usual a winner! I can't wait to make it, thank you!
ReplyDeleteLooks beautiful, Marianne - thanks for sharing with us :D. I've a niece who's expecting a baby girl in a couple of months, this will be a perfect 'welcome gift' to make for the newborn.
ReplyDeleteIs there a gauge for this pattern?
ReplyDeleteI'm having trouble with the lace edge. Only 4 repeats in and it doesn't look like the photo. Should my gauge be tighter? I was trying to knit fairly loosely.
ReplyDeleteOn the lace is the first slip one as if to knit, or purlwise? Yarn in bad, or in front? Thank you
ReplyDeleteReally enjoying this so far. I've finished the lace ending but can't seem to work out the 85 stitches! Can anyone help?
ReplyDeleteDo one in each space twice and then in the end of the row. Then repeat to the end of the lace and keep count as you go.
DeleteI am also having a problem with the row at the yoke. The count is not coming out right.
ReplyDeleteGot it figured out
DeleteThis is my first time picking up pointy sticks for 4 years, my 6th is due in 3 months and my neighbour is due at the same time, so I am knitting our little girls one or two each of these and hooking blankets for them. Such an easy to read pattern, thank you very much!
ReplyDelete:) :) Happy Knitting !
DeleteCan't wait to start knitting this one looks really lovely
