DK yarn, small oddments can be
used for this project
4mm needles
2 matching buttons
A split keyring
Instructions:
Cast on 42sts
K1, cast off 5sts (2sts on right hand needle),k1, cast off 5sts (4sts on right hand needle), k1, cast off 5sts (6sts on right hand needle), k1, cast off 5sts (8sts on right hand needle), k1, cast off 5sts (10sts on right hand needle), k1, cast off 5sts (12sts on right hand needle)
Cut the yarn leaving an 6” tail
Thread the tail through each of the remaining 12sts and pull tight
Use the
tail from the cast on to join the first and last petals
Shape flower with a little pull if required
Sew in ends
Each
keyring flower needs 2 buttons ~
Add a
button to the centre of the flower – one on each side
Add a split
ring through one of the petals.
