What could be cuter than little gift bags in the form of Santa and his Sack! ?

Requirements ~
5.5mm needles
Size ~
Width: 4" (10cm) across front
Height: 4½“ (11.5cm)
SANTA
Instructions ~
Knit 6 rows
Using Pink ~ work 6 rows in stocking stitch (one row knit, one row purl)
Using White ~ knit 4 rows
Using Red ~ work 6 rows in stocking stitch, then knit 2 rows
Next Row: (Makes eyelet holes) S1, * yon, k2tog, rep from * to last st, yon, k1 31sts
Knit 1 row
Cast off
Join bottom seam and then side seam
Darn away ends
Add a face – I used 2 small black buttons for eyes, a ready-make small pom-pom for a nose and a couple of stitches in red for a mouth.
Make a 10” drawstring ~ I made a simple crochet chain (but you could use ribbon or twine)
Thread the drawstring through the eyelet holes starting at the centre back, or side
Tie both ends together, and pull to gather up
Fill with a few sweet treats! And gift it to someone to brighten their day !
SANTA’S SACK
Using Beige ~ Cast on 30sts
Work 20 rows in stocking stitch
Knit 2 rows
Next Row: (Makes eyelet holes) S1, * yon, k2tog, rep from * to last st, yon, k1 31sts
Cast off
Join bottom seam and then side seam
Darn away ends
Make a 16” drawstring ~ I made a simple crochet chain (but you could use ribbon or twine)
Thread the drawstring through the eyelet holes, gather up and tie at the centre front (or at the side)
Fill with a few sweet treats – or a small gift !
