This sweet baby blanket is very easy to knit !

Requirements:
DK yarn, less than 100g for the
smallest 2 sizes
4mm needles

preemie baby blanket of 16” Cast on 88sts
For a preemie baby
blanket of 18”
Cast on 99sts
For a large preemie
baby blanket of 20”
Cast on 110sts
For a newborn baby
blanket of 24”
Cast
on 132sts
For a baby blanket
of around 28”
Cast on 154sts
Length ~ Make your blanket square, or
a little longer than it’s width.
Pattern:
Using 4mm needles and DK yarn cast on
88sts or the number of stitches suggested above for the size you wish to make
Rows 1 – 6: Knit
Row 7: Knit
Row 8: S1,
k5, purl to last 6sts, k6
Rows 9 - 12: Repeat the last 2 rows twice more
Repeat rows 1 - 12 until your
blanket is the length you require (around the same length as the width of your
blanket or a little more, ending after completing a Row 12)
Knit 5 rows
Cast off
Darn away ends
