Face Coverings and Mask Extenders

This week I have been making some face coverings for my family.

I enjoy getting my sewing machine out from time to time and putting it to use!
But it will never take over from my passion for knitting!

Anyway, here is what I have been making ~

I looked online at a couple of tutorials, and decided I liked this one best ~

14 made ...... and I keep getting requests for more - so they must be OK !

Whilst I was making these I thought I might make a few mask extenders too
to donate to my local care home if they would like them.

Easy Ear Saver Mask Extenders

To make them easy to launder I used cotton yarn and acrylic buttons.

  1. Hi can you post a photo of how the extenders are used? Thanks

    1. They sit at the back of your head. The elastic can hurt your ears when you're wearing a mask all day. By hooking the elastic over the buttons on the extender instead, you save your ears from getting sore.

    2. Sorry, but I can't work out how to add a photo.
If you google mask extenders, there are plenty of photos out there.
