BERT Baby Blanket

When I was knitting mine I realised that this would make a really good blanket pattern as it looks great on both sides. 

I haven't quite finished yet - 
but it looks lovely and I wanted to share with you .........

Requires:
DK yarn
4mm needles

Instructions:

Cast on 69 stitches   for a doll / Angel Baby blanket of 12.5”
You can change the size by adding or reducing by multiples of 6 stitches ( 69 +/- multiples of 6)

Cast on 87 stitches   for a preemie blanket of 16”
Cast on 129 stitches   for a baby blanket of 24”

Knit 10 rows for the border

Row 11:               K6, *k3, p3, rep from * to last 9sts, k9
Row 12:               K6, *p3, k3, rep from * to last 3sts, k3
Row 13:               K6, *k3, p3, rep from * to last 9sts, k9
Row 14:               K6, *p3, k3, rep from * to last 3sts, k3
Row 15:               Knit
Row 16:               Knit
Repeat the last 6 rows until the blanket is the length you require
(I usually make blankets square or a little longer than their width)

Knit 7 more rows for the top border – and cast off
