  4. Hi Marianna...I have a question that is probably stupid but I can't figure it out. On the last row of the sleeve you have to cast off 3 stitches at the beginning and end of row. I know how to cast off the 3 stitches at the beginning of the row but don't know how to do this at the end of the row. On other patterns I would normally cast off the 3 stitches at the beginning and knit to the end of the row and then do another row and cast off the 3 stitches at the beginning of the next row but I don't think that is what you want.
I love all your patterns and think it's wonderful that you share them with us. I do a lot of knitting for charity so these patterns are great.

  9. Your pattern does not state how much yarn to purchase to make this cute ensemble. I love the stitch and want to make this as soon as I find out how many skeins were used and what yarn.

  15. Thank you, but 8 ply? I've heard of 3 and 4 but never 8. Where do I find 8 ply yarn? Or are you doubling (2-4 ply strands) together?

    1. In the US, we call this DK, sport or baby yarn. Hope that helps.

  20. If you knitted 2 sleeves as instructed first, you would have 2 sleeves on 2 x stitch holders (26 stitches on each). When you have knitted rows 1-8 x 3 times and rows 1-6 once, you are ready to join your sleeves to the body of the garment ready for the yolk. As it says, knit 26 stitches at the beginning of the next row from the bodice (right front), then the 26 stitches from one sleeve, then the next 48 stitches from the bodice (back) , then the 26 stitches from the second sleeve then the remaining 26 from the bodice (left front). You should then have a strange looking garment with holes where you have knitted in the sleeves to the main body. If you keep on knitting it will all fall into shape when you complete the project. You will still need to sew the up the sleeve seams.
