Thanks so much for your patterns - love them all. xox
ReplyDeleteI love the patterns and plan to make some hats for charity. I'm a rather new knitter and I don't see what weight of yarn you used. Am I just not seeing it? If it doesn't say, does a knitter assume it's worsted weight?
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing your pattern!
Cathy
Glad you pointed that out! Thank you.....
DeleteI used DK (8ply) yarn #3 Light worsted (21-24sts = 4" over stocking stitch)
Happy knitting. M
Thanks!
DeleteI'm just getting back to knitting. What is "S1"?
ReplyDeleteHi Karen
DeleteS1 is slip 1
All knitters develop their own style .........
I slip the first stitch of every row knitwise - and knit the last stitch. This gives a little 'bump' at each end of every 2 rows.
These 'bumps' can then be joined easily (bump to bump) when seaming the hat. .......
If you prefer to use another method then of course that is fine .....
I hope you enjoy knitting my pattern.
Very best wishes. M
Your patterns are so good for a beginner like me. I love the way that all the rows are written out. I tick them as I go along. A very big thank you for your generosity...would love an adult cardi by you...and would pay for it :)

ReplyDeleteYes, please. Patterns for flowers & hearts as pictured would be appreciated :)
ReplyDeleteThanks my niece just gave birth to twin boys
ReplyDeleteThankyou for this hat pattern. I have knitted the jacket and was just thinking I would have to adapt another of your hat patterns to make a matching hat. Now I don't have to. I have knitted a lot of your patterns for my latest grandson. My daughter absolutely loves them and he looks super cute in them. Thanks ever so much.
