Quick & Easy Scarves
Last week I made hats, so this week I decided to make scarves.
Very quick & easy - and a great way to use up part balls left over from
earlier projects.
A simple contrasting colour edging just finishes them off.
This one in purple sparkle DK used less than 50g
This one was more of an aran weight yarn -
but the beauty of this design is that it really doesn't matter.
A real stash- buster - made from small balls from my 'bits bag'
For a striped scarf just change colour as desired - broad and narrow stripes both look great

Off now to make more ........
To Begin: Chain 17 This makes a scarf 12cm wide after the border is added
Row 1: 1tr in third chain from hook, 1tr in each of next 14 chains, chain 2 (to turn)
Row 2: 1tr in each stitch across, then chain 2 ( to turn). (15tr)
Repeat row 2, until the scarf is as long as you want it to be. 1 made mine 112cm
Add a double crochet border all around in a contrasting colour
