For a blanket of
16” ~ cast
on 96sts
For a blanket of
20” ~ cast
on 120sts
For a blanket of
24” ~ cast
on 144sts
For a blanket of
28” ~ cast
on 168sts
Instructions ~
Cast on 96, 120, 144 or 168 stitches – see the size information above
Start with a garter stitch border - knit 4 rows
Pattern:
Row 1: K3,
* k2, p2, repeat from * to last 5sts, k5
Row 2: K3,
* p2, k2, repeat from * to last st, k1
Repeat the last 2 rows twice more
Row 7: K3,
* p2, k2, repeat from * to last st, k1
Row 8: K3,
* k2, p2, repeat from * to last 5sts, k5
Repeat the last 2 rows twice more
Rows 1 – 12 form the pattern repeat
Repeat
these 12 rows (pattern rows 1 – 12) until your blanket is as long as
it is wide, or until you are happy with the length of your blanket
Repeat Rows 1 - 6 once again
Finish with a garter stitch border – knit 5 rows
Cast off knitwise
Darn away ends
