Requirements:
DK yarn
4mm needles
A tiny amount of polyester stuffing
One Colour Angel
Instructions:
Cast on 62sts
Row 1: Knit
Row 2: K2tog across row 31sts
Row 3: Knit
Row 4: S1, purl to last
st, k1
Repeat the last 2 rows 8 times more
Row 21: K2tog across row to last st, k1 16sts
Row 22: S1, purl to last st, k1
Row 23: Kfb across row to last st, k1 31sts
Row 24: S1, purl to last st, k1
Row 25: Knit
Row 25: S1, purl to last
st, k1
Repeat the last 2 rows twice more
Row 31: K2tog across row to
last st, k1 16sts
Row 32: S1, purl to last
st, k1
Row 33: K2tog across row 8sts
Cut off the yarn, leaving a ‘tail’
With a yarn needle, pull the yarn
through all the remaining loops and secure
Sew up back seam, and weave in ends
Stuff the head with a little polyester stuffing
Using a length of yarn (10” – 12”) on
a yarn needle, weave it in and out around the neck.
Pull it in and tie it off to secure
the head. (I use this tail to attach the wings, so don’t cut it off)
To make the Wings ~
Cast on 29sts
Knit a row
K2tog, knit to last 2sts, k2tog
Repeat the last row until 13sts
remain
Cast off
Weave in ends
Join the wings to the centre back of the body with a line of little stitches.
To make a Halo (optional) ~
Cast on 26sts
Cast off
Join to make a circle
Stitch the Halo on to the top of the Angel’s head
Two Colour Angel
Instructions:
Follow the instructions above, with the following modifications ~
Use the contrast colour for Rows 1 & 2 of the body, for the Wings, and
for the Halo.
