Knitted in 'next-to-no-time' these cute little hats make a great Christmas decoration - 

or put a Fererro Rocher inside for a little surprise !

Width - 2" 

Height - 3"

Tension/ Gauge:

22sts = 4" 

Mini Santa Hat

 

Mini Santa Hat

Requires:

DK yarn

4mm needles

Using white, cast on 21sts

1^st Row:           S1, * k1, p1, repeat from * to last 2sts, k2

2^nd Row:          S1, * p1, k1, repeat from * to end

Repeat the last 2 rows once more

Change to red ~

Stocking stitch 6 rows

11^th Row:         (K5, k2tog) 3 times                                                     (18sts)

12^th, and every alternate row:   S1, purl to last st, k1

13^th Row:         (K4, k2tog) 3 times                                                     (15sts)

15^th Row:         (K3, k2tog) 3 times                                                     (12sts)

17^th Row:         (K2, k2tog) 3 times                                                     (9sts)

19^th Row:         (K1, k2tog) 3 times                                                     (6sts)

21^st Row:         (K2tog) 3 times                                                           (3sts)

22^nd Row:        S1, purl to last st, k1

23^rd Row:         S1, k2tog, psso

Fasten off

Join the seam

Darn away ends

Add a little pom-pom or bobble

Requires:

DK yarn

4mm needles

Using white, cast on 21sts

1^st Row:           S1, * k1, p1, repeat from * to last 2sts, k2

2^nd Row:          S1, * p1, k1, repeat from * to end

Repeat the last 2 rows once more

Add in red ~ and work in stripes - 2 rows red, 2 rows white throughout  

Stocking stitch 6 rows

11^th Row:         (K5, k2tog) 3 times                                                     (18sts)

12^th, and every alternate row:   S1, purl to last st, k1

13^th Row:         (K4, k2tog) 3 times                                                     (15sts)

15^th Row:         (K3, k2tog) 3 times                                                     (12sts)

17^th Row:         (K2, k2tog) 3 times                                                     (9sts)

19^th Row:         (K1, k2tog) 3 times                                                     (6sts)

21^st Row:         (K2tog) 3 times                                                           (3sts)

22^nd Row:        S1, purl to last st, k1

23^rd Row:         S1, k2tog, psso

Fasten off

Join the seam

Darn away ends

Add a little pom-pom or tiny jingle bell
