Easter Eggs


This pattern was a recent Friday Night Mystery Knit

I gave a pattern without a name or description.

So ..... knitters just followed the instructions ...... and this is what resulted.
Wonderful! 







Easter Egg

Smaller Size

Cast on 5sts
Row 1:          Kfb in first 4sts, k1             (9sts)
Row 2:          Purl
Row 3:          (K1, kfb) 4 times, k1          (13sts)
Row 4:          Purl
Row 5:          (K2, kfb) 4 times, k1          (17sts)
Row 6:          Purl
Row 7:          (K3, kfb) 4 times, k1          (21sts)
Row 8:          Purl
Row 9:          Knit
Row 10:        Purl
Repeat the last 2 rows twice more
Row 15:        (K3, k2tog) 4 times, k1       (17sts)
Row 16:        Purl
Row 17:        (K2, k2tog) 4 times, k1       (13sts)
Row 18:        Purl
Row 19:        (K1, k2tog) 4 times, k1        (9sts)
Row 20:        Purl
Row 21:        (K2tog) 4 times, k1             (5sts)
Cut yarn, leaving a ‘tail’  to use or joining
Thread the tail into a sewing needle, pull it through all remaining stitches and gather together
Join side seam most of the way – leaving an opening. Fill with polyester stuffing. Sew the rest of the seam closed. Darn away ends.

Now the fun part !

Decorate ….. as the mood takes you 😊 (or leave it plain)

Row 3:          (K1, kfb) 5 times, k1          (16sts)
Row 4:          Purl
Row 5:          (K2, kfb) 5 times, k1          (21sts)
Row 6:          Purl
Row 7:          (K3, kfb) 5 times, k1          (26sts)
Row 8:          Purl
Row 9:          Knit
Row 10:        Purl
Repeat the last 2 rows 3 times more
Row 17:        (K3, k2tog) 5 times, k1       (21sts)
Row 18:        Purl
Row 19:        (K2, k2tog) 5 times, k1       (16sts)
Row 20:        Purl
Row 21:        (K1, k2tog) 5 times, k1       (11sts)
Row 22:        Purl
Row 23:        (K2tog) 5 times, k1             (6sts)
Cut yarn, leaving a ‘tail’  to use or joining
