pink & white baby sweater |
I have been making these pretty baby sweaters this week.
They are a great way to use up part balls ~ I seem to have loads of those in my stash.
blue baby sweater |
As they are knitted from the top down - back, front & sleeves all in one -
it really doesn't matter when you run out of one colour and change to the next.
Change colour at the beginning of any row.
This design is knitted on a circular needle - in rows across the yoke, then in rounds -
and has instructions for long or short sleeves -
and in sizes from newborn to 8years.
I chose not to follow the pattern chart, just did my own thing!
I like the shape - very cute.
I think I will be making lots of these........
Thanks for the link to this pattern. It's exactly what I need to use up some wool.
ReplyDeleteThank you Una. There is no end to the possible colour combinations ....
DeleteThey are lovely Marianna perfect stash-busters, I might have a try even though I'm useless with round needles :)
ReplyDeleteLOL. Me too. Actually I did mine on straight needles as I hate circulars. I am much faster on straights! I simply seamed up one side seam at the end.
DeleteThese are so cute, Marianna! and using stashed yarn...even better
ReplyDeleteThanks Ana. I have quite a lot of small amounts to use up :)
DeleteMarianna, sooooooooooooooooo cute well done the colours are lovely and like you I have errr quite a few odds to use up - thanks for sharing the pattern - this will be in my to do pile - not too sure of the knitting in the round though eeek! xx
ReplyDeleteI agree Jaqui - I can knit on circular needles but it is too slow for me. So I made mine on straight needles, and joined the side seam. No problem. X
