Every Christmas I like to make a cute little decoration for each of my family.
I often put them on the dinner table.
Today I have made a start on this year's - and I think they would be great as hanging decorations too
- so I will add a hanging cord to make them festive baubles that can be kept and re-used next year.

Christmas Elf Bauble
Requirements:
DK yarn – white (for the face)
DK yarn – colour (for the hat)
3.25mm or 3.5mm needles
Polyester stuffing
Length of dark yarn for adding features
Tiny pom-pom, or jingle bell if desired
Using white yarn, cast
on 5sts

Add features, using

Sew the gap in the
seam to close
Add a tiny pom-pom
or jingle bell if desired

hanging decoration, add a hanging loop, using yarn (or metallic thread, or fine
twine)

Fold in half, and catch
together with a stitch
Sew on the nose, using the

Sew the gap in the
seam to close

For a Clown
Knit exactly as for the Elf
For the nose – using a length
of red yarn ~
Cast on 3 stitches

1: Knit in the front and back of every
stitch (6sts)

4: P2tog three
times (3sts)
Cast off
Tie cast on and
cast off tails together (this pulls the nose together)
Sew on the nose, using the cast on and cast off tails.
Add other features,
using a length of dark yarn
Sew the gap in the
seam to close
Add a tiny pom-pom if desired
