The mystery is not really about what you will make - but more about how the stitch pattern will look.
This design works best with 2 quite strongly contrasting colours.
I had a good result with Royal Blue and White
and with Emerald Green and White.
Pale Pastel Pink and White was disappointing as there was not enough contract between the 2 colours.
TOP TIP ~ When you slip the stitches on row 11, 13 etc. keep the yarn at the BACK of the work.

MYSTERY KNIT # 10
This pattern works best with 2 contrasting colours – but I have added
instructions for a one-colour version too.
Carry the colour you are not using
loosely up the side.
Requires:
DK yarn in 2 contrasting colours
4mm needles
Size 1
Using main colour, cast on 57sts
1st Row:
S1, * k1, p1, rep from * to last 2sts, k2
2nd Row:
S1, * p1, k1, rep from * to end
Repeat the last 2 rows 3 times more
9th Row:
S1, * k1, p1, rep from * to last 2sts, k2
10th Row:
Kfb, * p1, k1, rep from * to end 58sts
Join in contrast colour yarn
Using contrast colour ~
11th Row: * Knit 3, slip next st purlwise, repeat from * to last 2sts, k2
