This little jacket is just so sweet. I can't wait to have ago at this one. I'm loving the jackets that are made from the top down....less stitching up ends. lol. I love the pattern you have used. Thanks for
ReplyDeletesharing.
I have just finished knitting your Famous Top down matinee jacket with long sleeves. It looks lovely but I had trouble sewing up the underarms. I think the stitches stretched while I was knitting the sleeves, leaving rather gaping holes which were difficult to deal with when sewing up. I'm looking forward to trying the Nevis cardigan but I wonder what you mean by "gather together underarms". I would be grateful for your feedback.
ReplyDeletehi all, I have made this cardigan for my grandson when he was first born, now he is 12mths im having trouble finding a simple cardigan to make him so I'm wondering by using larger needles would this knit up bigger to fit him now thanks in anticipation of any replies I may receive x

DeleteWould love to have knitted this, but there are no abbreviation explanations for UK knitters! Shame!
ReplyDeleteLook at her "Knitting Abbreviations" tab at the top of the page.
DeleteI have looked for abbreviations but just don't see any at the top or anywhere else on this page.
DeleteSilly me! Thanx, Renee.

Hi Marianna - Thank you for this lovely pattern! The Nevis cardigan is my go-to baby gift! Will you be updating the pattern with new larger sizes? I'd love to make one for a 12 month old. Please share how many stitches to cast on for that size and the length. Many thanks!
ReplyDeleteThank you
ReplyDeleteThanks for this pattern. It’s so easy to follow. Do you have pattern for larger sizes. Mary O’L
ReplyDeleteDo you have v-neck cardigan pattern in toddler sizes?

Marianna, I love your patterns. I have made many a version for my charity projects. The patterns are so clear and easy to follow, and the finished articles are sooooo gorgeous. As a prolific knitter, (I can't sit and not knit), these patterns are ideal.
ReplyDeleteEasy to knit and very quickly finished. I intensely dislike sewing up, so the jacket, booties and bonnet matching patterns with minimal sewing are ideal. Thank you for your phenomenal effort.
