Jordan Cute V-Neck Cardigan


Barclay / Jordan Cardigan 

Cute V-Neck Cardigan, created and knitted by Chris Hunter

This pattern has been adapted by Chris Hunter - it is a mixture of two patterns. Cute eh? 
The top part is from my Barclay Baby Cardigan Pattern.
 The lower part is my Jordan Baby design stitch pattern.

Size:
Width: 16"
Length: 8.5 "
Sleeve Length: 5.5“

Tension:
22sts = 4" (10cm)

Requires:
DK (8ply) yarn 3.5mm and 4mm needles
5 small buttons

Using 4mm needles ~ 
Cast on 24sts
1st Row:        K1, kfb, knit to last 3sts, kfb, k2 26sts
2nd Row:       K1, knit to end
3rd Row:       K1, kfb, knit to last 3sts, kfb, k2 28sts
4th Row, and every alternate row   K2, purl to last 2 sts, k2
5th Row:       K1, kfb, kfb, k1, kfb, k1, kfb, k13, kfb, k1, kfb, k1, kfb, kfb, k2 36sts
7th Row:       K1, kfb, k1, kfb, k3, kfb, k1, kfb, k15, kfb, k1, kfb, k3, kfb, k1, kfb, k2                  44sts

Body ~
Row 1:          K2, yrn, k2tog (makes a buttonhole), knit to end
Row 2:          K2, purl to last 2 sts, k2
Row 3:          K2, *k4, p4* rep between * 9 times more, k6
Row 4:          K2, purl to last 2 sts, k2
Repeat the last 2 rows twice more
Row 9:          As row 1
Row 10:        As row 2
Row 11:        K2, *p4, k4* rep between * 9 times more, p4, k2
Row 12:        As row 2
Repeat the last 2 rows twice more
Repeat rows 1 to 16 once more
Row 33:        K2, yrn, k2tog (makes a buttonhole), knit to end
Knit 4 rows
Cast off


Sleeves ~ Both Alike
Put the 28sts, left on a stitch holder, back on to a knitting needle
Rejoin yarn ~
With right side facing, and using 4mm needles – 
Work 34 rows in stocking stitch (one row knit, one row purl)
Change to 3.5mm needles
Work 7 rows in K1, P1 rib
Cast off

Make the second sleeve in the same way
Join sleeve seams
Darn away ends
Add 5 small buttons

  3. Hi! Love this pattern but I've never seen the abbreviation kfb before and there are no instructions that explain! I'm sorry for being so thick! 🤣🤣

    1. kfb = knit into the front and then the back of the stitch (this is an increase as it makes an extra stitch)
