Mystery Knit #15 (2)

So many of you loved the first part of the Mystery Knit .......... So, here is part 2 .

Have fun !  

Requires:

DK yarn – plain self-coloured yarn is best for this project ~ around 12g – 15g

4mm needles


Tension/Gauge:

22sts - 4" (10cm)

 

Instructions:

Cast on 33sts

Knit 9 rows

Row 10:        K5, purl to last 5sts, k5

Row 11:        Knit

Row 12:        K5, p8, k7, p8, k5

Row 13:        Knit

Row 14:        K5, p6, k11, p6, k5

Row 15:        Knit

Row 16:        K5, p4, k15, p4, k5

Row 17:        Knit

Row 18:        K5, purl to last 5sts, k5

Row 19:        Knit

Row 20:        K5, p1, k10, p1, k10, p1, k5

Row 21:        Knit

Row 22:        K5, p2, k9, p1, k9, p2, k5

Row 23:        Knit

Row 24:        K5, p3, k8, p1, k8, p3, k5

Row 25:        Knit

Row 26:        K5, p4, k7, p1, k7, p4, k5

Row 27:        Knit

Row 28:        K5, p5, k6, p1, k6, p5, k5

Row 29:        Knit

Row 30:        K5, p6, k5, p1, k5, p6, k5

Heart Picture Square                            (Part 1 of Mystery Knit  #15)

This lovely square was Part 1 of an on-going Friday Night Mystery Knit.
There are now many more picture squares available, and number and alphabet squares too!  A lovely resource that allows you to design a unique blanket to suit you - or a friend or family member.  Hope you have fun!  

Requirements:

DK yarn – a plain self coloured yarn is best for this project (and possibly not black or navy)   ~ around 12g

4mm needles 

 

Instructions:

Cast on 33sts

Knit 9 rows

Row 10:        K5, purl to last 5sts, k5

Row 11:        Knit

Row 12:        K5, p11, k1, p11, k5

Row 13:        Knit

Row 14:        K5, p10, k3, p10, k5

Row 15:        Knit

Row 16:        K5, p9, k5, p9, k5

Row 17:        Knit

Row 18:        K5, p8, k7, p8, k5

Row 19:        Knit

Row 20:        K5, p7, k9, p7, k5

Row 21:        Knit

Row 22:        K5, p6, k11, p6, k5

Row 23:        Knit

Row 24:        K5, p5, k13, p5, k5

Row 25:        Knit

Row 26:        K5, p4, k15, p4, k5

Row 27:        Knit

Requirements:

DK yarn – a plain self coloured yarn is best for this project

4mm needles 

 

Instructions:

Cast on 33sts

Knit 9 rows

Row 10:        K5, purl to last 5sts, k5

Row 11:        Knit

Row 12:        K5, purl to last 5sts, k5

Repeat the last 2 rows 14 times more

Knit 9 rows

Cast off

Darn away ends

Mystery Knit #14

I hope you enjoy this latest Friday Night Mystery Knit 

........ maybe consider it as ISOLATION COMPENSATION

Requirements:

Several small amounts of DK yarn  ~  any colours will be suitable 

4mm needles


Instructions:
Cast on 2 stitches
Row 1:  K2
Row 2:  K2
Row 3:  Kfb, k1                       (3)
Row 4:  K3
Row 5:  Kfb, kfb, k1                (5)
Row 6:  K2 p1, k2
Row 7:  Kfb, k2, kfb, k1          (7)
Row 8:  K2 p3, k2
Row 9:  Kfb, k4, kfb, k1           (9)
Row 10:  K2 p5, k2
Row 11:  Kfb k6, kfb k1          (11)
Row 12:  K2 p7, k2
Row 13:  Kfb k8, kfb, k1         (13)
Row 14:  K2 p9, k2
Row 15:  Kfb k10, kfb k1        (15)
Row 16:  K2 p11, k2
Row 17:  Knit
Row 18:  K2 p11, k2
Row 19:  Knit
Row 20:  Knit
Row 21:  K2, *yrn, k2tog, repeat from * to last st, k1
Cast off

Now make more - in the same way ......... in the same colour or different colours.

Friday Night Mystery Knit #13

I hope you enjoy this latest Friday Night Mystery Knit

Requirements:

A small amount of DK yarn  ~  any colour will be suitable

3.5mm needles if you have them ......
OR use 3.75mm if you are a tight knitter, or 3.25mm if you are a loose knitter 

A little polyester stuffing 
(Please do not let this put you off at this point. If you are imagining a toy - and worrying about adding a face - I promise that this is not the case!) Trust me ! :) 


Mystery Knit          #13

Smaller Size

Cast on 5sts
Row 1:          Kfb in first 4sts, k1             (9sts)
Row 2:          Purl
Row 3:          (K1, kfb) 4 times, k1          (13sts)
Row 4:          Purl
Row 5:          (K2, kfb) 4 times, k1          (17sts)
Row 6:          Purl
Row 7:          (K3, kfb) 4 times, k1          (21sts)
Row 8:          Purl
Row 9:          Knit
Row 10:        Purl
Repeat the last 2 rows twice more
Row 15:        (K3, k2tog) 4 times, k1       (17sts)
Row 16:        Purl
Row 17:        (K2, k2tog) 4 times, k1       (13sts)
Row 18:        Purl
Row 19:        (K1, k2tog) 4 times, k1        (9sts)
Row 20:        Purl
Row 21:        (K2tog) 4 times, k1             (5sts)
Cut yarn, leaving a ‘tail’  to use or joining
Thread the tail into a sewing needle, pull it through all remaining stitches and gather together
Join side seam most of the way – leaving an opening. Fill with polyester stuffing. Sew the rest of the seam closed. Darn away ends.
I hope you know what it is !
Now the fun part !
Decorate ….. as the mood takes you 😊 (or leave it plain)
Why not make more in toning colours …… ?

Row 2:          Purl
Row 3:          (K1, kfb) 5 times, k1          (16sts)
Row 4:          Purl
Row 5:          (K2, kfb) 5 times, k1          (21sts)
Row 6:          Purl
Row 7:          (K3, kfb) 5 times, k1          (26sts)
Row 8:          Purl
Row 9:          Knit
Row 10:        Purl
Repeat the last 2 rows 3 times more
Row 17:        (K3, k2tog) 5 times, k1       (21sts)
Row 18:        Purl
Row 19:        (K2, k2tog) 5 times, k1       (16sts)
Row 20:        Purl
Row 21:        (K1, k2tog) 5 times, k1       (11sts)
Row 22:        Purl
Row 23:        (K2tog) 5 times, k1             (6sts)
Cut yarn, leaving a ‘tail’  to use or joining
