This is a very sweet little Baby Cardigan with a cute peplum.  

Perfect for warm days !

Tension: 

22sts = 4" (10cm)


Requires:
Around   48 - 50g of DK (8ply) yarn

4mm needles

4 buttons

Row 3            K2, yrn, k2tog, (makes a buttonhole), knit to end of row
Rows 4 & 5    Knit

Cast off knitwise       

 

Work long or short sleeves ~


Short Sleeves ~ Both Alike

Put the 30sts, left on a stitch holder, back on to a knitting needle. Rejoin yarn.

With right side facing – 

Row 1           Knit into front & back of first st, knit to last st,  knit into front & back

Row 2           S1, purl to last st, k1

Row 3           Knit

Row 4           S1, purl to last st, k1

Repeat last 2 rows once more

Knit 5 rows
Cast off knitwise


Make the second sleeve in the same way


Long Sleeves ~ Both Alike 

Put the 30sts, left on a stitch holder, back on to a knitting needle. Rejoin yarn

With right side facing – Starting with a knit row, stocking stitch 8 rows 

Row 9 K2tog, knit to last 2sts, k2tog (28sts) 

Starting with a purl row, stocking stitch 7 rows 

Repeat the last 8 rows twice more (24sts) 

(It is easy to adjust the sleeve length at this point if you wish) 

Knit 7 rows 

Cast off knitwise  



Make the second sleeve in the same way


Sew up sleeve seams. Gather together underarms

Darn away ends

Sew on buttons

  5. Is there a mistake after 4th buttonhole row on 3-6 mth size? It says k4 on purl rows when previous purl rows have been k5?
