Crochet Christmas Pouch Bags

 Help ! - with only a couple of days to go till Christmas - 

I am of course running out of time with still a couple of gifts to find for the little ones!

As I find crochet quicker than knitting ........ I set to with some sparkly yarn and made these cute little sparkly pouches. 

They are quick and easy, and I will just fill them with sweet treats!

Crochet Christmas Pouch Bag           Glitter Yarn

 

Requirements:

DK yarn

5mm crochet hook

Ribbon ~   ½“ (1cm) thick and 15” (38cm) long

 

Size:

Width:                  8“ all around (20cm)

Height:                 3½“ (9cm)

 

Pattern:

This pattern is written in UK terminology      

tr = treble crochet         sc = single crochet          ch = chain

 

Worked in the round

Using the main colour ~

Chain 4, join with a slip stitch into a ring

Round 1:   Ch3, make 9tr into ring, slip stitch to join (10sts)

Round 2:   Ch3 then tr in same stitch as ch2, 2tc in each stitch all around, join with slip stitch  (20sts)

Round 3:   Ch3 then 1tr in same stitch as ch2,  * 1tr in next stitch, 2tr in next stitch repeat from * all around,  join with slip stitch (30sts)

Round 4:   Ch3, 1tr in each stitch all around, join with slip stitch (30sts)

Rounds 5-10:   As round 4 

Round 11:      Ch1, 1sc in each stitch all around, join with slip stitch (30sts)

Fasten off  

Weave in ends

 

Add a pretty ribbon

Fill with some sweet treats

And tie the ribbon in a bow – done!
