Knitting is basically all about how you use knit and purl stitches. I love playing around and making new combinations.
It keeps me interested in my craft. Sometimes I pull it back - sometimes I like the way it looks!
Hope you enjoy trying out this one!

That's a very pretty hat. I must remember to save it to my favourites when I am more awake.
ReplyDeletethese are absolutely gorgeous im knitting for a mac millian charity sale next month and ive just knitted one of these x
ReplyDeleteJust finished it in bright blue Yarn Bee Soft Secret. Came out lovely, did a stretchy cast on...very intricate looking but manageable stitches. Thank you for the lovely motif.

ReplyDeleteWhat do yon and yrn mean? I am assuming one is an increase and one is a decrease, but not sure. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteUpdate: the yon=yarn over needle, is before a knit and the yrn=yarn around needle is before a purl. These put the yarn in the correct position for the next stitch.
DeleteThank you so much. I could not find that...it's very helpful!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat's the difference between yarn over needle and yarn around needle
ReplyDeleteWhen a yarn over is before a knit stitch, you just put the yarn to the front of the needle. When a yarn over is before a purl stitch, you must wind the yarn around the right needle or you will just be doing a purl stitch, not a yarn over.
DeleteLove doing your patterns for all the knitting I do for charity. Just putting this pattern into a blanket
ReplyDeleteHow can you slip the first stitch in every row? It’s the same stitch all the way up, so that doesn’t make sense to me.
ReplyDeleteOh! I see. It’s not knit in the round.
