  2. Hello, I'm returning to knitting after years and am more than a little rusty! My grandmother taught me when I was young and my mother recently passed on all her patterns and needles. Could you write up a post with your abbreviations for different stitches? It's probably easy enough to google it but would be great to have one here with all these beautiful patterns to try!

  5. I am knitting this adorable little dress, but I can't find anywhere what kfb means. I thought it might mean knit from the back, but it doesn't add the stitches I need when I get to row 3. Please advise!

  6. Your patterns are so lovely and I am knitting for my future great grandchildren. I do not see the amount of yarn needed for this or other patterns. How do you suggest I figure it out.
Also, I would like to make this a size 2-3 so I am going to cast on either 90 or 92 stitches and work accordingly. Does that sound correct?
Thank you so much for sharing your skills with us.

    1. It took just over one ball of a 100g DK weight 300m/328yds baby yarn for the 6 to 9 months frock and I managed just around 10 of the 13 knit rows at the end, meaning around 400m required.

  7. Thank you for making available this easy-to-follow, pretty and low-on-seam-WITHOUT-circular-needles pattern! It was my first experience of knitting a baby frock. I made it in a lively yellow, orange, pink and purple variegated yarn with flecks and the effect is a dream! All credit to you and the yarn 🙂
