Preemie Baby Crochet Hats

My last project in March has been to make these cute little crochet baby beanie hats.
Individually they don't use a lot of yarn I know ~ but I have made loads as they are for charity.

  4. This is awesome. Just found you on The Crochet Boulevard Link party. I to am in the process of crocheting baby hats for charity. I'm just waiting back for some info on a place that may be interested. This will be the first time I've done this. Pretty excited knowing I can help a little one in need. Thank for sharing. 1. I've just seen your post (Jan 2017). I'm just starting to crochet for babies in need as well. My baby (34 weeks premature) is now nearing the end of primary school and I thought it would be nice to "give back". I'm looking for charities in New Zealand to help. I hope your search for charities to help is going well.

  5. I've been knitting hats and bootees for charity but it such a slow process. Thanks for sharing your crochet pattern with us. I did 3 hats tonight. Much faster. This year I'm doing it for Groote Schuur hospital in Cape Town. I delivered a bag of goodies to them last month. The nursing sister was very happy as it's the poor community attending the hospital and oh my...some of those babies doesn't even weigh a kilogram.

  7. Hi, we've set a goal of 30sets every 3 months for the neo natal ward at Groote Schuur hospital in Cape Town. It's a polar fleece blanket, a jacket, cap and booties. Our delivery is the end of this month (Oct). My husband helped with crocheting the jackets. An 85 year friend did some of the caps. It took just under 2kg of wool. Please sent me your Email address so I can show you the sets.
PS. We don't get donation yarn in this country so it came all out of my pocket.

  8. Hi Marianna,my husband and I set a goal to deliver 30sets end of this month and then every 3 months to Groote Shuur hosp. He crocheted most of the jackets and we shared the rest along with an elderly friend knitting some caps. Each set consisted of a jacket, cap, socks and polar fleece blanket. We're ready to deliver. Have started on the next batch already. If you send me your email address I can sent you some photos. Denise

  12. Thank you so much for these patterns! I'm getting geared up to make items for our local foster parent/adoptive parents group; the small items will be perfect for the younger children - something to hold onto.
