| Sparkly Top Knot Chocolate Orange Covers |
These cute little hats are very quick to knit!
Perfect for fundraisers, gifts or decorations.
I used sparkly yarn which the photos don't pick up - but any DK yarn can be used.
Sparkly
Top Knot Hat Cover for a Chocolate Orange
Requirements:
DK yarn (a small amount of
white, and around 6g of sparkly yarn)
3.5mm knitting needles
Instructions:
Using White yarn ~
Cast on 41sts
1st Row: S1,
*k1, p1, repeat from * to the last 2sts, k2
2nd Row: S1,
*p1, k1, repeat from * to end
Repeat last 2 rows three times
more
Cut off White, join in Sparkly
yarn
9th Row: S1,
knit to end
10th Row: S1,
purl to last st, k1
Repeat last 2 rows 6 times more
23rd Row: *K2tog, repeat from * to
last st, k1 21sts
24th Row: S1,
purl to last st, k1
25th Row:
*K2tog, repeat from * to last st, k1 11sts
26th Row: *P3tog,
p2tog, p2tog, p2tog, p2tog 5sts
Knit 17 rows
Cast off
Sew up the side seam, using the
corresponding colour for each section – pushing the top 17 rows through to the
right side.
Tie a knot in the top 17 rows
Darn away ends
Fill with a Terry’s Chocolate Orange
