Using White ~

Cut off Navy

Sleeves ~ Both Alike

Put the 30sts, left on a stitch holder, back on to a knitting needle.  Rejoin yarn

With right side facing –

1st Row:           Kfb , knit to last st, kfb                                                   32sts

Starting with a purl row, stocking stitch 7 rows

9th Row:           K2tog, knit to last 2sts, k2tog                                         30sts

Starting with a purl row, stocking stitch 7 rows

Repeat the last 8 rows twice more                                                         26sts

 (You can adjust the sleeve length at this point)

Join in Navy

Using Navy ~

Row 33:           K2tog, knit to end                                                                    25sts
Row 34:          S1, *p1, k1 repeat from * to end

Using White ~

Row 35:          Knit
Row 36:           S1, *p1, k1 repeat from * to end

Using Navy ~

Row 37:           Knit
Row 38:          S1, *p1, k1 repeat from * to end

Cast off in rib

Make the second sleeve in the same way

Sew up sleeve seams. Gather together underarms
Darn away ends

Sew on 6 small buttons

  1. Morning Marianna, will you doing this pattern in a 3 to 6 months? It is beautiful and I would love to knit this for a friend and he is nearly 3months and would love it to last him a bit longer. Diane
