Jeannie's Blanket

Jean McConville
1928 - 2018

I wrote this blanket pattern in memory of a wonderful knitter who inspired many others after rediscovering a love of knitting at the age of 89.

Jeannie took up knitting again in October 2017, and in the following 6 months she made 54 blankets for donation to a charity group dear to her heart.
Hundreds of crafters followed her progress. Sadly, by the time she was 90 at the end of June, she was too poorly to carry on.
Jeannie passed away in October 2018.
But she touched many lives with her smile and her achievements.

Rest in Peace dear lady.

  5. Thank you so much for the pattern. I have reduced the size to 110 stitches and will make it 20 inches long for the baby unit. Should 100 gram of yarn
    Be enough?
