Easy Sweater - now in 5 sizes -  9-12 months, 6 months, 3months, newborn and large premature

CHAY Easy Pullover Sweater                      9 – 12 months      

 

Size:

Width   –          22”      

Length –          12” - 13“  

Sleeve length -  5½” - 6”

 

Requirements:            

DK yarn ~  around 115g of acrylic DK

4mm needles 

                                                               

The Front

Cast on 61sts

Work 12 rows in garter stitch (knit every row)

Work 44 rows in stocking stitch (knit one row, purl one row)

Cast on 31sts, knit to end

Cast on 31sts, knit to end

Knit 27 rows

 

(wrong side)  K48, cast off 27sts, k47  

Continue on the 48sts for the left front  ~

Knit 17 rows.  Cut off yarn

 

Continue on right front ~

Rejoin yarn

Knit 17 rows

 

Continue for the back ~

Next Row:       K48, cast on 27sts, then knit the 48sts for the left front        

Knit 46 rows

Cast off 31sts at beginning of next 2 rows

Work 44 rows in stocking stitch starting with a purl row

Knit 12 rows

Cast off

Join side and sleeve seams.    Darn away ends.

Length –          11“ 

Sleeve length -  5 ”

 

Requirements:            

DK yarn ~  around 80g of acrylic DK 

4mm needles 

 

                                                              

The Front

Cast on 55sts

Work 10 rows in garter stitch (knit every row)

Work 40 rows in stocking stitch (knit one row, purl one row)

Cast on 27sts, knit to end

Cast on 27sts, knit to end

Knit 23 rows


(wrong side)  K42, cast off 25sts, k41   

Continue on the 42sts for the left front  ~

Knit 13 rows.  Cut off yarn

 

Continue on right front ~

Rejoin yarn

Knit 13 rows

 

Continue for the back ~

Next Row:       K42, cast on 25sts, then knit the 42sts for the left front        

Knit 38 rows

Cast off 27sts at beginning of next 2 rows

Work 40 rows in stocking stitch starting with a purl row

Knit 10 rows

Cast off

Join side and sleeve seams.    Darn away ends.

Knit 19 rows

(wrong side)  K38, cast off 20sts, k37  
Continue on the 38sts for the left front  ~
Knit 11 rows.  Cut off yarn

Continue on right front ~
Rejoin yarn
Knit 11 rows

Continue for the back ~
Next Row:       K38, cast on 20sts, then knit the 38sts for the left front        
Knit 32 rows
Cast off 23sts at beginning of next 2 rows
Work 36 rows in stocking stitch starting with a purl row
Knit 10 rows
Cast off
Join side and sleeve seams.    Darn away ends.

Cast on 45sts 

Work 10 rows in garter stitch (knit every row)

Work 32 rows in stocking stitch (knit one row, purl one row)

Cast on 21sts, knit to end

Cast on 21sts, knit to end

Knit 17 rows


(wrong side)  K34, cast off 19sts, k33

Continue on the 34sts for the left front  ~

Knit 9 rows.  Cut off yarn


Continue on right front ~

Rejoin yarn

Knit 9 rows


Continue for the back ~

Next Row:       K34, cast on 19sts, then knit the 34sts for the left front        

Knit 28 rows                                                               

Cast off 21sts at beginning of next 2 rows

Work 32 rows in stocking stitch starting with a purl row

Knit 10 rows

Cast off

Join side and sleeve seams.    Darn away ends.

Continue on the 31sts for the left front  ~
Knit 7 rows.  Cut off yarn

Continue on right front ~
Rejoin yarn
Knit 7 rows

Continue for the back ~
Next Row:       K31, cast on 16sts, then knit the 31sts for the left front        
Knit 24 rows   
Cast off 19sts at beginning of next 2 rows
Work 28 rows in stocking stitch, starting with a purl row
Knit 8 rows
Cast off
