Logan Baby Blanket 



Requirements:

DK yarn (100g for the smallest size, up to 350g for a 30” blanket)
4mm needles

 

Measurements:

Width:        17" (43cm)

Length:      adjustable ......... I usually make blankets square, or a little longer than their width

 

Instructions:

Cast on 93 stitches  - or the number of stitches suggested below for the size of blanket you wish to make

If you would like to make this baby blanket smaller or bigger ~

Then reduce or add in multiples of  six stitches   (93 +/-  multiples of 6)

for a Blanket of around 17”          ........    cast on  93sts

for a Blanket of around 20”          ........    cast on 111sts

for a Blanket of around 23½”       ........    cast on 129sts

for a Blanket of around 26¾”       ........    cast on 147sts

for a Blanket of around 30”          ........    cast on 165sts

Start with a garter stitch border - knit 10 rows

Row 11:    S1, knit to end of row

Row 12:    S1, k5, purl to last 6sts, k6

Row 13:    S1, knit to end of row

Row 14:    S1, k8, * p3, k3, repeat from * to last 6sts, k6

Row 15:    S1, knit to end of row

Row 16:    S1, k5, purl to last 6sts, k6

Row 17:    S1, knit to end of row

Row 18:    S1, k8, * p3, k3, repeat from * to last 6sts, k6

Row 19:    S1, knit to end of row

Row 20:    S1, k5, purl to last 6sts, k6

Row 21:    S1, knit to end of row

Row 22:    S1, knit to end of row

Repeat the last 12 rows (rows 11 – 22) until you are happy with the length of the blanket, ending after completing a Row 22

Finish with a garter stitch border – knit 9 more rows

Cast off knitwise

Darn away ends
