Lacy Faux Cable Baby Mittens

Tension:       

22sts = 4" (10cm) over stocking stitch

 

Requirements:

DK yarn

3.25mm and 4mm needles

 

T2 = twist 2

k2tog, then before you drop the stitch off the needle, put the point of your needle between the 2sts and knit the first stitch again, before slipping both off together

T2 = twist 2

Repeat last 2 rows 4 times more

Change to 4mm needles

5^th Row:   S1, * T2, p2, repeat from * to last 4sts, T2, p1, k1

Repeat the last 6 rows until work measures around 4½" from the cast on edge

 

Shape the top ~

Next Row:    *K2tog all across row                                                     8sts

Cut the yarn leaving a ‘tail’.

 

With a yarn needle, pull the yarn through all the remaining stitches and secure

My recent Faux Cable Baby Hat has turned out to be very popular! 

I am so happy that you like it. 

 I decided to make another version -  a lacy pattern this time.

Here is how to work the T2 (twist 2sts)
