DK yarn – a plain self-coloured yarn is best for this project ~ around 12 g 

4mm needles 

 

Instructions: 

Cast on 33sts 

Knit 9 rows 

Row 10:        K5, purl to last 5sts, k5 

Row 11:        Knit 

Row 12:        K5, p8, k12, p3, k5 

Row 13:        Knit 

Row 14:        K5, p7, k13, p3, k5 

Row 15:        Knit 

Row 16:        K5, p6, k10, p7 k5 

Row 17:        Knit 

Row 18:        K5, p5, k4, p4, k4, p6, k5 

Row 19:        Knit
