Easter Mini Egg Pouch
I am making these cute little pouch bags and filling them with mini Easter Eggs, to give as small gifts this year.
Please remember ~ these are not suitable for small children, as they could be a choking hazard.
Easter Mini Egg Pouch Bag
Requirements:
DK yarn ~ I
used 4 colours but you could vary this
5mm crochet
hook ~ if you prefer, you can use a 4mm hook
Mini Eggs to
fill
Size: when flat, before filling
Width: 8”
all around (20cm)
Height: 5½”
(14cm)
Pattern:
This pattern is
written in UK terminology
tr = treble
crochet sc = single
crochet ch = chain
Worked in the
round
Using yellow
yarn ~ Chain 4, join with a slip stitch
into a ring
Round
1: Ch3, make 9tr into ring, slip stitch to join (10sts)
Round
2: Ch3 then tr in same stitch as ch2, 2tc in each stitch
all around, join with slip stitch (20sts)
Round
3: Ch3 then 1tr in same stitch as ch2, * 1tr in
next stitch, 2tr in next stitch repeat from * all around, join with
slip stitch (30sts)
Round
4: Ch3, 1tr in each stitch all around, join with slip stitch
(30sts)
Rounds 5 -
10: As round 4
Round 11:
Using green yarn ~ Ch3, 1tr in each stitch all around, join
with slip stitch (30sts)
Round 12: Using white yarn ~ Ch1, 1sc in each stitch
all around, join with slip stitch (30sts)
Round 13: Using pink yarn ~ Ch1, 1sc in each stitch all
around, join with slip stitch (30sts)
Fasten
off
Weave in ends
Make 2 small
flowers ~
Using white
yarn ~ Chain 3 and join with a slip stitch to make a ring.
Round
1: Chain 2, 2tc, slip stitch into
ring then [3tc, slip stitch into ring] 4 times.
Fasten off
(This makes 5 little petals)
Weave in ends
Drawstring Cord
~
Using pink yarn
~ Make a crochet cord chain
Thread the cord
in and out through Round 10 of the pouch, and tie in a bow
Weave in ends
Push each end
of the cord into the centre of a flower, from the back to the front, and tie a
knot to secure
Fill with Mini Easter Eggs
