Around 100g DK yarn for smallest size, around (200g
for 24” size) , (350g for 30” size)
4mm needles

Measurements:
Width: 17- 18" (43cm-
46cm)
Length: 18 - 19” – easy to adjust
Tension:
22sts = 4" (10cm)
For a Premature Baby Blanket of 17 – 18” ~
Cast on 98sts
1st Row S1, knit to end
Repeat this row 7 times
more
9th Row S1, knit to end
10th Row S1, k4, purl to last 5sts,
k5
11th Row: S1,
k4, *k2tog, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, k1, yo, k1, yo, k2tog, k2tog, repeat from * to
last 5sts, k5
12th Row: S1, k4, purl to last 5sts,
k5
Repeat last 4 rows until
the blanket is the same length as it is wide
Knit 7 rows
Cast off
Darn away ends

need to cast on 98 + (multiples of 11)
For a 24” newborn baby blanket cast
on 131sts
For a 30” baby blanket cast on 164sts

DeleteI've just started this pattern using a rainbow colored yarn. Making it for a friend who is having a rainbow baby! I think this is the perfect pattern.
