Doll's Sleeping Bag ~ Jack & Jill


What could be cuter for a little doll or teddy than a sweet little sleeping bag ? 
I love making these :)

Jack & Jill ~  Doll’s Sleeping Bag       Extra Small               

Requires:
4mm needles
DK yarn – around 25g
6 small buttons 

Measurements:
Width – 5”
Length from top of hood -  9½”

Cast on 27sts
Knit 4 rows
Row 5:   (buttonhole row)  K2, yrn, k2tog, knit to last 4sts, k2tog, yrn, k2
Knit 5 rows
Row 11:  Knit
Row 12:  K4, * p3, k1, rep from * to last 3sts, k3
Repeat the last 2 rows 6 times more
Row 25:  (buttonhole row) K2, yrn, k2tog, knit to last 4sts, k2tog, yrn, k2
Row 26:  K4, * p3, k1, rep from * to last 3sts, k3
Row 27:  Knit
Row 28:  K4, * p3, k1, rep from * to last 3sts, k3
Repeat the last 2 rows 8 times more
Row 45:  (buttonhole row) K2, yrn, k2tog, knit to last 4sts, k2tog, yrn, k2
Knit 19 rows
Row 65:  Knit
Row 66:  K4, * p3, k1, rep from * to last 3sts, k3
Repeat the last 2 rows 16 times more
Knit 10 rows
Continue for the hood ~
Next Row:  Knit
Next Row:  K4, purl to last 4sts, k4
Repeat the last 2 rows 11 times more
Knit 1 row
Cast off

Join the hood seam
Sew on 6 small buttons to correspond with the buttonholes
Decorate with a ribbon bow if desired

Row 11:  Knit
Row 12:  K4, * p3, k1, rep from * to last 3sts, k3
Repeat the last 2 rows 7 times more
Row 27:  (buttonhole row) K2, yrn, k2tog, knit to last 4sts, k2tog, yrn, k2
Row 28:  K4, * p3, k1, rep from * to last 3sts, k3
Row 29:  Knit
Row 30:  K4, * p3, k1, rep from * to last 3sts, k3
Repeat the last 2 rows 9 times more
Row 49:  (buttonhole row) K2, yrn, k2tog, knit to last 4sts, k2tog, yrn, k2

  3. Looking forward to making this for my sons Percy bear who always comes on holiday with us. I'm saying my sons bear...I think he is more my besr now as my son will be 12 while we are on holiday...a girl always needs her bear!! xx

  5. Thanks for this wonderful pattern. I am a kindergarten teacher and I am creating this for one of our puppets. A little witch who will have sleepovers at the kids home during winter time. And this is the perfect accessoire for her.
