DK (8ply) yarn
Pattern
Instructions:
Using DK yarn and 4mm needles ~
Cast on 64sts
Rows 1 - 4 S1, knit to end
** Row 5 S1,
*yo, k2tog, repeat from * to last st, k1
Row 6 S1,
*yo, p2tog, repeat from * to last st, k1
Repeat last 2 rows once more
Rows 9 -14 S1, knit to end **
Repeat from ** to ** twice more
Row 35 S1, knit to last st, k1
Row 36 S1,
purl to last st, k1
Row 37 S1, knit to last st, kfb 65sts
Row 38 S1,
purl to last st, k1
Shape the top ~ 1st Row: (K6, k2tog) repeat to last st, k1 57sts 2nd, 4th,6th,8th,10th Rows: Purl 3rd Row: (K5, k2tog) repeat to last st, k1 49sts 5th Row: (K4, k2tog) repeat to last st, k1 41sts 7th Row: (K3, k2tog) repeat to last st, k1 33sts 9th Row: (K2, k2tog) repeat to last st, k1 25sts 11th Row (K1, k2tog) repeat to last st, k1 17sts 12th Row (P2tog) repeat to last st, k1 9sts Cut yarn (leaving a long ‘tail’ to use for sewing up), draw the end through all stitches, pull up tightly. ReplyDeleteHello! Would love to make one for myself for spring. Would 80 or 88 stitches work for adult woman size? What about height before diminishing? So hard to find a pattern for spring that looks light! Thanks

ReplyDeleteThanks for the Jasmine toques and sweater, knitted hat on 5 needles and sweater up to decreasing on circular, always start my sleeves at ht cuff on 4 needles and, then at underarm cast off and go to two needles.
ReplyDelete1st Grandbaby and mummy doesn't like trad- knitted baby hats with a chin strap. Can't wait to knit a larger size for this little one. Now I have a new go to for a baby raglan baby jacket as gifts to my non-knitter grandmas
What does kfb stand for?
