Ghost Chocolate Orange Cover 


Requirements:

DK yarn – white

A length of black to add on eyes

3.5mm crochet hook

 

Size:

Width:                  3½“ (7” all around)

Height:                 3½“

 

Pattern:

This pattern is written in UK terminology      

tr = treble crochet         dc = crochet crochet          ch = chain

 

Worked in the round

Chain 4, join with a slip stitch into a ring

Round 1:   Ch3, make 9tr into ring, slip stitch to join (10sts)

Round 2:   Ch3 then tr in same stitch as ch2, 2tc in each stitch all around, join with slip stitch  (20sts)

Round 3:   Ch3 then 1tr in same stitch as ch2,  * 1tr in next stitch, 2tr in next stitch repeat from * all around,  join with slip stitch (30sts)

Round 4:   Ch3, 1tr in each stitch all around, join with slip stitch (30sts)

Rounds 5 - 9: Repeat round 4

Round 10:      Ch3, 5tc in same st, *miss a stitch, slip st into next st, miss a st, 6tc in next st, repeat from * all around, join with slip stitch

Fasten off  

Weave in ends

 

Use a length of dark yarn on a sewing needle to add 2 eyes

This is an easy to knit scarf, with a simple 2 row pattern repeat. 


Ladder of Success Scarf ~ Child, Teen or Adult

 

Requires:

DK yarn, around 70g – 100g

4.5mm needles

 

Sizes:

Child ~ 40” x 4.5”  (102cm x 11.5cm)  ~ easy to adjust 

Teen  ~ 48” x 5”  (122cm x 12.5cm)  ~ easy to adjust 

Adult ~ 48” x 5.5”  (122cm x 14cm)  ~ easy to adjust 

 

Instructions:

Cast on 27sts for a child’s scarf

For a bigger scarf for a teen or adult -  cast on any odd number of stitches…… for a teen around 31sts, for an adult around 35sts, and work until your scarf is around 48” in length.

 

Row 1:   S1, k1, * k2tog tbl , yon, repeat from * to last 3sts, k1 tbl, k2

Row 2:   S1, * k1, p1, repeat from * to last 2sts, k2

 

Repeat these 2 rows until you are happy with the length of your scarf.

Cast off

Darn away ends.
