Super easy baby mittens - to match my cute little Charlie Baby Hat

Charlie Baby Mittens                    6 months

Size:

Width:    5 ¾ ", 14.5cm all around 

Length:   5", 12.5cm

Requires:

DK yarn ~ around 14g
4mm needles

Pattern:          Make two mittens the same

Using 4mm needles cast on 28sts

1st Row:          S1, * k2, p2, rep from * to last 3sts, k3
2nd Row:          S1, * p2, k2, rep from * to last 3sts, p2, k1

Repeat the last 2 rows 4 times more
 
11th Row:        S1, knit across row
12th Row:        S1, purl to last st, k1
13th Row:        S1, k2, * p2, k2, rep from * to last st, k1
14th Row:        S1, * p2, k2, rep from * to last 3sts, p2, k1
15th Row:        S1, knit across row
16th Row:        S1, purl to last st, k1
 Repeat the last 6 rows twice more
29th Row:       S1, knit across row
30th Row:        S1, purl to last st, k1
 
Increase one stitch at end of the last row                                                (29sts)
 
Shape the top ~
 
Next Row:    K1, s1, k1, psso, k9, k2 tog, k1, s1, k1, psso, k9, k2tog, k1         (25sts)
 
Next Row:    Purl
 
Next Row:    K1, s1, k1, psso, k7, k2 tog, k1, s1, k1, psso, k7, k2tog, k1         (21sts)
 
Next Row:    Purl

Cast off
Join top and side seam.  Darn away ends

Repeat the last 6 rows twice more

DK yarn ~ around 12g
4mm needles


Pattern:          Make two mittens the same

Using 4mm needles cast on 20sts
1st Row:          S1, * k2, p2, rep from * to last 3sts, k3
 
2nd Row:          S1, * p2, k2, rep from * to last 3sts, p2, k1

Repeat the last 2 rows 3 times more
 
9th Row:          S1, knit across row
10th Row:        S1, purl to last st, k1
 
11th Row:        S1, k2, * p2, k2, rep from * to last st, k1
12th Row:        S1, * p2, k2, rep from * to last 3sts, p2, k1
 
13th Row:       S1, knit across row
 
14th Row:        S1, purl to last st, k1
 
Repeat the last 6 rows once more
21st Row:       S1, knit across row

22nd Row:      S1, purl to last st, k1

Shape the top ~
Next Row:       *K2tog, k1, repeat from * to last 2sts, k2tog                           (13sts)

Next Row:       S1, purl to last st, k1

Next Row:       S1, *k2tog all across row                                                         (7sts)

Cut the yarn leaving a ‘tail’.
With a yarn needle, pull the yarn through all the remaining stitches and secure
Sew up side seam and weave in ends
